Color of the Year
Updated: May 7, 2020
Many people use the changing of the calendar to make a fresh start.
Whether it’s developing a new habit, breaking an old one, or just livening up one’s home, sometimes inspiration is needed. If so, Pantone, the industry standard for accurate color for designers, manufacturers and retailers, can help.
Pantone has announced that their Color of the Year is Greenery.
Here’s what Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, has to say about their choice:
“A refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings. Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another, and a larger purpose.”
How would you use this color? Good question!
In your home or office, paint one accent wall in this shade.
Add a shirt or blouse in this color to layer under your suit jacket.
Accessorize with a Greenery scarf, socks, handbag, or jewelry.
Develop a business logo or promotional products using Greenery as your base or trim color.
What if Greenery is just too much on its own?
Try color pairings!
